Justin Timberlake was terrified about starring alongside Sharon Stone and Bruce Willis in his new film.

The 'SexyBack' singer, who stars with the two Hollywood heavyweights in 'Alpha Dog', had to work hard to convince his A-list co-stars he had talent.

He revealed: "When I came on to this film, all the other actors were probably not looking forward to having to deal with me. But I just showed up to work same as everybody else. I just wanted to be a player in the film."

Although he is venturing into acting, the 25-year-old star is not prepared to quit his pop career and become a full-time film star.

He added: "To me, acting is a hobby. I've been lucky enough to have a musical career that has gone pretty good and acting is something I have always wanted to do. I've been offered a lot of different things but 'Alpha Dog' was an opportunity for me to sink my teeth into something. I thought it was a story people should hear."

'Alpha Dog' is based on the true story of a Los Angeles gang.

Newly-single pop heartthrob Justin Timberlake is on a roll. After breaking up with his 34-year-old actress girlfriend Cameron Diaz, the 25-year-old singer had been spotted cozying up to actress Jessica Biel.

But just when the paparazzi were convinced that Biel and Timberlake were a couple, the sexy back crooner surprised them by being spotted partying with Match Point actress Scarlett Johansson at the Super Bowl party.

Timberlake and Johansson spent the weekend together in Miami and were seen canoodling at the nightclub Mokai where the Super Bowl party was held after the game.

“They spent the whole weekend together. They were dancing and whispering in each other's ears. They were having a really good time together,” a witness was quoted as saying. “They were talking, dancing, holding hands all night – it was very cozy,” the source added. Twenty-two-year-old Johansson features in Timberlake's new video What Goes Around.
